I have been hard at work! I’ve been working on yet another personal web page, not so much on the design end of it yet, but gathering information. I have recently taken up kayaking as a hobby. I have always have had a love for mother nature, and figured that living on the Gulf coast of Florida, doing something outside with my time off would be a good idea, instead of sitting in the house and playing PS3.
I went out got a little handheld GPS to log areas of interest to share with people that would appreciate these areas as well. I have not brought my SLR out there yet because I have been having issues with Manatee hitting my kayak and on several occasions almost knocking my off. I have been waiting for the Gulf to warm up so the Manatee are a little more scarce in the rivers leaking fresh water into the gulf. I could have always just said pictures are coming soon (but that would have been too easy).
To the people that are kayaking fans, take a look let me know what you think and if you are in the Tampa Bay area, I hope that it is a page that you will put in your favorites and check up on before you head out on the water. Anyways let me know what you think, again photos are coming soon. If anyone would like to donate some stock photos of kayaking I will give proper credit along with a link to your site or DeviantArt home page. Thanks for your help and any constructional criticism you have to offer.

Thanks again,
- Peter

Hey everyone thank you for taking the time and checking me out! I want to thank the people on here that I have talked to on this site it is very inspiring and glad I came across it! I'm going to make it a point when I'm on this to start signing in, some how I get caught up in looking at pictures and reading journals, just to bipass the whole log in thing- lol.
Also I'm excited to say that I just recently purchased my own site and have been working on it, things have been coming along great with that. If you did or are intrested in looking at it the web site is 9designonline.com The site is under construction right now, but make sure you check in and see the updates, I work on it just about every day. Also check out the link to Milkfat.info there is some good stuff on that as well. I promise you that this site will be grrrreat! As soon as I learn more.... a lot more, I'm kinda new to web design. But I love it, work hard at it and I have a huge immagination.
I'm not using this site for advertising however I'm going to be putting my portfolio on it so, I thought it would be a good idea and kind of help with networking as well.
Sorry for my poor spelling there is no spell check and I'm a victim of technology.

Thanks again for checking me out!

Living in Florida

Fri May 2, 2008, 11:21 AM
I wanted to put down a little something about where I live, and what kind of change there is from where I did when it comes to my photography and art in general.
I lived in Buffalo, NY for just about all my life until I thought it would be a good idea to move away from my family and friends, to start a new life in Florida. At the idea of it was great, I said to myself "who dosen't want to live in Florida" there is a lot of opportunity there especially coming from a dieing city like Buffalo. At the time the only this I valued is my family, friends and my girlfriend of course. With the move down here my best friend moved down here with me. Everything was so surreal, like waking up in the morning and seeing a palm tree in front of the house I bought, instead of seeing snow infront of the house I rented. Finding a job was not the easiest thing to do because I didn't know but 3 people and they were all in mortgages, however I made it happen.
Needless to say my friend decided it would be a good idea for him to move back to Buffalo cause he had things going on with his music. My girlfriend moved down and I now have been here for about 3 years. Boy time goes by fast. I was right about the oppertunity, little as i knew at the time. However finding things that I find inspiring is hard down here because I like that urban look, old archatecture and lots and lots of styles of graffiti. Living in a area just outside of Tampa you don't find any of that.
Once you move from what you know you really do appriciate a lot more than whet you think you will prior to moving and it might take some time, but it will catch up. I can't tell you when the last time I decied to take a walk with my camera and shoot some graffiti or some abstract photos of buildings that look run down. Now I find myself walking park trails and and taking pictures of light coming threw the trees or some crazy looking bird. However the change is nice but it is not the joy that photography gives me.
They say "home is where the heart is" I guess even though I love it down here, my true home is and probally always be Buffalo, NY.
